In my spare time, I write Self-help articles for D.C Examiner. Typically, self-help articles are relational but I choose to go a different route. My previous entries feature either prominent or quirky people in the DMV area who are expertises in niche’ topics.
For example, I recently interviewed Miss D.C USA 2011′s Heather Swann and, ofcourse, her experiences are found with pageants. So, the advice she can give would truly assist several potential pageant contestants in the DMV area and it would even inspire those who never thought twice about entering into Miss DC USA 2012.
Another intriguing person in the DMV area is Obituary Editor, Adam Bernstein who wrote a candid piece on former governor William Donald Schaeffer. As an experienced Obit writer in the area, his journalism advice for aspiring Obit writers may be the key in opening up more prominent feature writers in the area. Advice is a subjective topic that can spawn into a medley of tasteful articles.
Remember, advice is a topic that can ebb and flow into different areas of life. If you feel that you are an expert in anything, e-mail me at: SherrynDaniel@gmail.com if you want to be spotlighted in my D.C Examiner Self-Help Column.
