NWHP

The National Women’s History Project is a non-profit that provides educational and historical material to schools, institutions and to anyone interested in American women’s history. If it wasn’t for NWHP, we would never have a month ( March) to celebrate women’s contributions into American history or have educational material provided in schools that teaches mothers, daughters and grandmother’s the importantce of “Her-Story”.

As the New Media Manager for NWHP, I am in charge of updating the Facebook Page, Twitter and Blog on a weekly basis. Per request, I also offer social media advice that gears the website into being innovative, witty and relevant to a fuller online demographic. In between updating their social media tools, I also branch out and try to grow the blog’s social network across the U.S by building relationships with Facebook users and with like-minded non-profits.

I also incorporate NWHP reader’s blog entries, events and personal letters into the blog platform and manage it based on content, accuracy and relevancy to the website’s mission and mantra. Aside from managing, I write book reviews, post events, and publish posts that honor incredibly women creating history nation-wide.
