April 4, 2008, Everclear played at Johns Hopkins University to a packed audience even though a portion of the audience drifted away thanks to the opening band “The Underwater”.
Art Alexakis, lead singer and sole remaining member of the five-piece-band, commanded the stage with heavy vocals for “Volvo driving soccer mom” and for “Am Radio.”
Sweaty bodies and cramped space did institute painful mosh pitting for most–and disturbing crowd surfing for all.
By the end of the night,the artists on stage banded together to sing ” Brown Eyed Girl” and ofcourse every blond, brunette and redhead thought Alexakis was singing solely to them.
For those who weren’t swayed away by Alexakis flirtations, the lead guitarist chucked guitar pics to the rest of the crowd.
